A mock sangria cocktail with fresh juice, fruit pieces and soda water. A great non-alcoholic alternative to the classic, perfect for a hot Summer’s day.
Sangria weather is here! Sangria is one of my favourite drinks for summer but I don’t normally like to drink a lot of alcohol, it seems to catch up with me far too quickly (I’m a lightweight, basically.)
So this is a non-alocholic Virgin Sangria I can happily sip on all day and it tastes just as delicious!
It’s also more hydrating, which helps in this weather.
I love scooping the juice-soaked fruit out from the bottom of the glass to eat afterwards. So delicious!
This Mocktail is:
- Dairy-free & vegan

- Fruit-sweetened
- Fat-free
- Super easy to make

Making a non-alcholic Sangria
Fruit Juice
The best fruit juices to use here are grape juice, cranberry juice and orange juice.
You can also experiment with apple juice.
Chopped fruits
The best part! I love using apples, oranges, strawberries and lemons but you can experiment with whatever is in season.
Peaches and cherries would also be incredible.
Cinnamon
This is optional but allowing a stick of cinnamon to infuse in the juice for at least a few hours before serving, really takes it to a new level and brings it closer to a more familiar sangria.
Soda water
For a bit of sparkle, I recommend soda water or you can also use just sparkling water.

What’s your favourite summer drink?
Johanna @ Green Gourmet Giraffe says
sounds lovely – I feel the same about sangria because I don’t drink much so any alcohol goes to my head, but I love sangria. I just wish it was easier to find red grape juice – sometimes I have used red fizzy grape juice instead because I find plain red grape juice hard to find

oh really? I find it’s usually in the aisle with the long-life juices (not the chilled section) Welches purple grape juice is my favourite and seems to be easy to get hold of, around here at least! I love fizzy grape juice too, like Amé etc.

So pretty! It’s nice to have a lovely non-alcohol alternative and the fruit makes this extra special. :)

Mmm, this sounds nice. I tried Sangria for the first time in January in Tenerife. I bought a litre of it but left it round my friend’s house. This will have to do until I get it back!

Refreshing and perfect for the summer picnic or barbeque

O perfect, perfect for me! Even if I was legally of age to drink, I would not and proudly never will :)
