My dad isn’t vegan or veggie but me and my mum are so he’s definitely used to veggie meals and he loves them!
What I really love though, is that when I asked him “what would you like me to bake you for Father’s Day?”
He requested my rosewater scones! An unusual (but adorable) request for such an occasion.
Anyway, here are 14 recipes that I think any dads would love for father’s day, whether they’re vegan or not…

VEGAN SNICKERS CUPS
I know my dad would LOVE these and I’m willing to bet yours would too! Bianca from ElephantasticVegan.com has made her own version with these chocolate cups that are healthy, delicious and simple to make.

I made this recipe for St Patrick’s Day but my dad loved it so much, I made it again for him for his birthday last year!
Beer Waffle Sundaes
I would only make these for my dad if I could have a plate of my own too because I wouldn’t be able to make this and not eat it. It looks SO good! Jackie from TheBeeroness.com has so many amazing beer recipes, many vegan-friendly :-)

How good does this fudge by Gin from EatHealthyEatHappy.com look? Not only that but it’s no-cook and healthy too!

Savoury
WHISKEY LENTIL VEGAN SHEPHERD’S PIE
I know it’s not the time of year for this sort of comfort food but how could anyone say no to this whiskey shepherd’s pie by Alissa from ConnoisseurusVeg.com? My Dad would love this any time of year, I think!
“Bacon” Cashews
I’ve had my eye on this recipe by Becky from GlueAndGlitter.com for a while. I have some liquid smoke in the cupboard that I never use, so this might be the perfect opportunity!

Traci from VanillaAndBean.com‘s Black Bean & Walnut Burgers look completely drool-worthy! Meat-eaters and veggies alike would love this recipe…

CAULIFLOWER STEAK SANDWICH WITH ROMESCO SAUCE
Who could say no to this sandwich by Aysegul from FoolProofLiving.com? So much flavour and “meatiness” without the meat!
BEER BATTERED MUSHROOMS
I have a deep-fat fryer that is very neglected but I think I might have to use it again soon to make these battered mushrooms by Becca from Amuse-Your-Bouche.com! Anything “beer battered” and I’m sure my dad would gladly oblige.
WHISKEY AND MAPLE ROASTED NUTS
These roasted nuts by Evi from GreenEvi.com would make a fantastic father’s day gift! You could wrap it in a paper bag or jar to give as a gift (and keep some for yourself, of course).
creamy beer soup w/ black lentils + chives
This soup by Sarah from WellAndFull.com is definitely a more autumnal recipe but it looks so good, I know my dad would enjoy it, even in the height of summer!
Have you got anything special planned for father’s day? What would be your dad’s favourite thing to eat?

What a beautiful round-up, Aimee! Thank you so much for including my vegan Snickers Cups. My dad loves anything with marzipan and booze… that is gonna be an interesting combo :D
Aimee says
As strange as it sounds, I wouldn’t be opposed to a creation combining the two! I never seem to get the time to make other blogger’s recipes, since I’m using every moment I can to create my own but those snickers cups are definitely high on my list for when I get round to it! Thanks Bianca :-)

Thank you Aimee for including my recipe in this delicious roundup! Everything looks so tempting! Clearly, Father’s Day will have to start around dawn so I… I mean we… can try some of everything :-)
Aimee says
Thank YOU, Starr! Your cake seriously looks so so delicious. If I ever get round to making it, I will let you know! And I love your idea about trying a bit of everything. How good would that be??
Aysegul says
This list is EVERYTHING! My dad has brought down his meat consumption too and he would love every single one of these dishes.
So beautifully put together Aimee.
PS: Thank you so much for sharing my recipe as well. <3

Aw, that’s great to hear, Aysegul! I think everyone who has looked at this post has been drooling over your sandwich recipe :-) Hugs <3

Very nicely done finding manly recipes, that would not have been an easy task! Heck I struggle so much shopping for guys, much less picking a cake for them. Those beer battered mushrooms look pretty crazy good, and of course I love the sweet section at the beginning! Lol you dad’s rosewater scone request made me laugh :D My dad is pretty used to being served veg dishes too, it’s fun to see them slowly get used to it and start to enjoy meat-free meals too!
Aimee says
Haha! It was a bit of a struggle, I admit. Especially since what my dad would choose (eg, rosewater scones) aren’t what most dads would normally go for! Although, he is very typical when it comes to anything beer, whiskey or bacon related. That’s great to hear that your dad is the same with plant-based meals. It’s the same with anyone, really. Once they see that vegan meals aren’t bland and unsatisfying, they realise they can totally do without the meat and dairy :-)

Alright, the beer battered mushrooms and the Guiness cake seriously look incredibly amazing!
Aimee says
Thanks Mara! I NEED to make those battered mushrooms soon :D
