I was already a big fan of Vegusto’s No-Moo Melty cheese so I knew I was going to like the No-Moo Sauce for cooking. I decided to make one of my favourite side dishes: Cauliflower Cheese. Recipe below…
£2.95 (2 x 70g)
Vegan Cauliflower Cheese Recipe
This dish is SO easy to make and tastes amazing. Great served with a roast dinner.
- 1 head of cauliflower
- 1 x 100g pack of Vegusto No-Moo Sauce
- Preheat the oven to 180c.
- Parboil the cauliflower so it’s tender.
- Add it to a medium-sized dish and top with the no-moo sauce. Mix it about to make sure the cauliflower is completely covered.
- Cook for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Serve and enjoy!
I love this cheese! I actually just spent about 5 minutes smelling it before I even tasted it. It’s the closest to parmesan I’ve found and I’ve already used it in a whole host of recipes with great success. The first photo above is some corn muffins I made using the cheese with some added chilli and garlic. So good.
Mushroom and No-Moo Burger
Delicious burgers with a nice texture and flavour. I had one serving with some mash and cabbage and another serving in a burger bun with some ketchup and a sprinkling of the piquant cheese. Both went down a treat.
£2.95 (2 x 70g)
I served the farmhouse style sausage with mashed potato (made with the piquant cheese – unbelievably delicious!) and gravy. I loved the texture and the first bite was delicious. However, the smoky flavour got a bit much for me a few bites in but I think this is just down to personal taste. If you love smoked foods, you will love this!
£3.49 (2 x 115g)
I had this roast as part of my Christmas dinner! It makes a really lovely alternative to nut roasts and has quite a meaty texture. The flavour is mild and perfect as an accompaniment to a roast dinner with gravy. To cook, I simply placed it in the oven 20 minutes before everything was ready.
