I’m so delighted to come across JING tea, Asian tea specialists. When they contacted me and asked me if I’d like to review some of their teas, I took one look at their website to read more about them and knew I was going to love it. Everything from the quality and care they put into their teas, to the packaging and design is just perfection and makes tea drinking a luxury experience or as they put it “JING defines the modern tea ceremony, an experience that absorbs the senses and refreshes and inspires the body and mind.” which I completely agree with. They’ve also offered a set of Jasmine Green Tea Pearls and a Glass Infuser Mug set to one lucky winner! Scroll down to find out more…
JING source their teas from the most prestigious regions in the world including; China, Japan, Taiwan, India and Sri Lanka. These regions have a traditional and respectful approach to growing tea, meaning the tea JING sources is always treated with special care and attention. As well as taking great care with the production, JING are big believers in preparing and serving teas the right way. From the temperature of the water (did you know boiling water can scold delicate green and white teas?), the serving size, infusion time and even the size of the pot or glass it’s served in play an important role in creating the perfect tea. Find out more in their guide to tea infusion.
You know when something is so divine and of such high quality that you have to dedicate all your attention to savouring every piece of it? That’s how I felt about this tea. First of all, I loved the ritual of preparing it. JING’s suggest using 1 tablespoon of the pearls per cup, adding not-quite-boiling water (around 80°C is ideal) and let infuse for 3 minutes before enjoying. I loved watching the tea pearls unravel and expand in the water and it felt like this whole process encouraged a state of mindfulness and calm, especially when used with the glass infuser mug.
The taste is aromatic and rich, almost creamy textured but not too overpowering. The tea can be reused up to three times which makes it ideal for when you want something to sip on throughout the day.

Lemongrass & Ginger Tea
Unlike the jasmine tea, this wouldn’t be my everyday choice of tea but more of an occasional tea for when I need a bit of awakening. Again the quality of this tea was excellent and I loved the subtle warm spice paired with the strong, bright citrus flavours. This tea is also naturally caffeine-free and makes a lovely alternative for those wishing to cut out caffeine.
Starting from £1.20 for a 10g bag
Glass Tea Infuser Mug
If you’re a fan of loose leaf teas (which I now am) this mug is a game-changer. It allows you to enjoy quality loose tea wherever you are – at work, travelling or just to have at home. The mug is made from hand-blown glass and the design consists of a mug base, an infuser insert and a lid. This means you can easily refill your tea (the flavour will sustain about 3 refills) and use the lid to keep it warmer for longer. It’s a tad on the expensive side but I do think it’s worth it for what it provides. If you’re passionate about tea, I think it’s a great buy.
Starting from £26.00 for a 300ml infuser mug
