The day has finally come. It’s been almost 2 years in the making, from concept to recipe testing, to shoots, to writing, to print and now I’m pleased to say that ‘Great British Vegan’ is now released into the world!
With so many vegan cookbooks coming out over the past few years, it seemed like everything was on offer for vegans. But there was one thing missing.
A cookbook filled with familiar, comforting British classics, all using plant-based ingredients. So that is what I set out to create and I’m so happy with the result.

A few of my favourite recipes in the book:
Beer-Battered Tofish & Chips (page 90)
Not only does this beer-battered tofu look like the real deal but it also has added fish flavour, thanks to the nori sheet. Served with probably the best chips you’ll ever make – which take a bit of effort but are totally worth it – and super-simple minted mushy peas,
Battenberg Cake (page 122)
Don’t worry, Battenberg is actually much easier to make than you’d think. Not only does it taste wonderful, but just looking at this beautiful pink and yellow chequered cake is a pleasure in itself
Plantbased Full English Breakfast (Page 18)
Weekends aren’t the same without a fry-up. This vegan version will cure your cravings and is packed with plant-based protein and fibre
Bourbon Biscuit Tiffin (Page 161)
A rich, very-moreish fridge cake with lots of crunch. This tiffin has been one of the most popular among my taste-testers – unsurprising, since it is also the most chocolate-filled.

I just recieved your wonderful book and was halfway through reading it before it had reached room temperature after being in the mail. All the recipes sound soo good and it will be hard for me to decide which ones to try first. In fact, there is no recipe in the book I would NOT love to try. The ingredients are simple but combinations are inventive and really focused on taste and texture. Thank you so much for this great book- I am sure not only vegans will love it but also everybody else who would like to reduce on meat, dairy and eggs. And I am also sure that nobody is going to miss any animal-based products.
